What do I need to know before I register for a class?

 

Please read our FAQ page carefully.  

 

If the class is a teleclass, then it is held completely on the telephone.  

 

If the class is a web-seminar, then you will need to be able to be on the phone and on the computer at the same time.  

 

You are responsible for the cost of the long-distance phone call to connect into a class.

 

For all classes, you need to be able to call in at class time on a landline or cell phone.  Landlines are preferable in terms of sound quality.  We STRONGLY recommend that all participants in the conference use only high quality telephones and avoid cordless phones, headsets, etc.  The use of speaker phones is prohibited.  They can ruin the sound quality of the class for everyone.  

 

Each participant in a class must pay a registration fee.   If you have a group of people from your congregation who would like to register together, please see our Discounts on Registration Fees section below.

How does eMinistry set its registration fees?

 

Our fees are set with the goal of being affordable and accessible to the people of the Church.  eMinistry is a non-profit organization -- our registration fees help cover the leader stipend (leaders are paid a stipend for every class that they lead) and the technological overhead for our classes (website, registration and payment process, etc.)  

 

Our registration policies and fees are under continual review and may be subject to change.

 

 

 

 

 

Cancellation Policies:   What if I register and pay for a class but then find I cannot attend?

 

Many of our classes open for registration weeks before the class date, and we know that schedules change.  

 

If you contact us at least 48 hours (2 days) before the published starting time of the class and let us know you cannot attend, we will refund 100% of your registration fee, minus any minimal processing charges by our merchant account provider.  

 

If you contact us at least 24 hours (1 day) before the published starting time of the class and let us know you cannot attend, we will refund 50% of your registration fee, minus any minimal processing charges by our merchant account provider.  

 

Refunds cannot be offered if you cancel less than 24 hours before the first meeting of a class, whether it's a single- or multi-session class.  We commit to pay our leaders a stipend for the class, and last-minute cancellations make it difficult to meet that commitment.  Our leaders teach at a very moderate rate because they have a desire to share their expertise and passion for a ministry topic, and because they believe in the ministry of eMinistry.   

 

If you have to miss a session of a multi-session class, please contact us the next time the class is offered and we will do our best to reschedule you for that individual session, if space is available.  We cannot offer partial registrations for individual sessions of a multi-session class.  That would remove a registration spot for others who are able to take the full class.

 

 

The refund policy is currently under review and subject to change.

What if I register and pay for a class, but eMinistry has to cancel it?

 

Classes may need to be canceled for a variety of reasons:  not enough enrollment, leader unavailability, technical problems, etc.  If we have to cancel a class, we will notify you as soon as possible and will refund your registration fee in full.  

 

Generally we need a minimum of 3 registrations to hold a class.  If by 24 hours before the published starting time of the class we have not achieved that minimum registration level, we will notify you that the class has been cancelled and we will refund your money in full.  

 

 

 

 

Discounts on registration fees for three or more participants from one congregation

 

On selected classes, we offer a discounted registration fee for three or more participants from one congregation.   Please note that each participant must pay a registration fee. 

 

If you wish to register several people from your congregation, click on the registration link next to the class listing.  Enter the number of people under "quantity", hit "recalculate" and the discount will appear.

 

Under the "Comments" form on the check-out page, please give us the name and email address of each participant.  This will allow us to contact each participant individually with the call information and class page link.  

 

 

 

 

What's eMinistry's Guarantee?

 

We do our best to review the quality of the class content and leadership.  However, we recognize that not every class will "hit the spot" for every participant. 

 

If you attended the class but feel that the class was not satisfactory we will cheerfully refund your registration fee minus any minimal processing charges by our merchant account provider.  Please contact us to request a refund.  Your attendance at and participation in the class must be confirmed by the class leader in order for a refund to be granted. 

 

We will ask for your feedback so any changes and improvements can be made for future offerings of the class.
